The correct answer would have been that you're getting a nyx and then working on an erebus but I guess an avatar is fine. :D

Fuck you @BradAssMF Zamayid, already trying to replace me and we haven't even started? @Mineral Ore for some reason I might be stupid and couldn't tell from your app. Do you currently own a supercarrier or titan or you just have toons who could fly one? I see you have plenty of liquid isk, if you don't currently own a supercarrier, would you be planning on getting one? And if so which one would you get?

    Both things done. @Qwynn @Dog0fWaRR

Disclaimer: I wouldn't say that theory crafting and coming up with doctrines is my strong suit but it is something I'm interested in and would like to get better at. You bring up a lot of points in your previous post that I hadn't considered and now that they've been pointed out I would likely end up changing some of my original strategies to match your advice. Would even probably change some of the ships completely based on what you said but I'm just going to post the fits that I had in mind during my previous post. Feel free to provide any criticism you have about the fits. The main way I'd use the Brutix Navy fleet is mostly to camp gates and have a fleet jump into us, I guess I should have mentioned that in my previous post. Using it against kitey fleets was just an example of one other way I thought it might work if we could hold them down but like you said this may not be a good idea and you're probably right. I took one for the team and can now verify that it can only handle about 4 inches. Not sure what Flamie has been doing all this time.

For a kitey doctrine with only about 10 people I would probably take out something like orthruses fitted with rapid light missile launchers. I'd aim for about 6 of us to be in orthruses, 2 in speed fit scimitars to keep up with orthruses, and an inty and a dictor for tackle, scouting and burning pings. I'm extremely unfamiliar with how the new links work, in the past I would have ensured we had offgrid skirmish and shield links but I'm not sure what would be best to use for links now. My engagement strategy with this type of fleet would be maintaining range (obviously) and killing tackle that tries to burn at us and if possible probing down and killing any isolated ships. If, for example, we jumped through a gate with a hostile fleet following us I would tell the fleet to approach a specific celestial with MWDs on to burn range from the gate and go in the same direction. We'd kill any tackle that tried burning at us while staying out of range of their main DPS. For a brawling doctrine I have been wanting to see how brutix navy issues handle these days. For this I'd likely fly an FC legion tanked and with combat probes. 5 people would be in brutix navys, 2 oneiros, 1 HIC, 1 DIC. Optimally it would be best to have a couple dedicated webbing ships with this but in a 10 man gang this might sacrifice too much DPS. It might be doable to have brutixes all fit a web since they already have a bonus to tracking and range on the hull. Kitey doctrines tend to be pretty popular these days and I'd see this fleet as being something that would work well against them if we could get in close. The engagement strategy would be probing down their fleet and going in at 0 with a HIC bubble, spreading webs as they try to burn away and killing any targets that we can hold down and then killing hostile DICs and warping out. This would be sort of a hit and run doctrine against kitey fleets because once they pulled range we would be taking damage and be unable to apply.

I'll answer your question about roaming compositions later today when I have some time to sit down at my computer. Just wanted to point out that I have already sent my APIs to Dog and Qwynn yesterday. In terms of training I can already fly the sleipnir with T2 guns and the only medium T2 guns skill I'm missing is lasers. Have already begun reworking my training queue based on yours and Dog's suggestions.
  8. Rythen Risalo

Ha, yeah those were hand-me-downs that came with the titan and I hadn't gotten around to upgrading them and then it slipped my mind as christmas holidays were coming up. I'll grab a T2 set ASAP.

What are you talking about, I'll have you know that people love my art work. My mom says it should go into galleries!

The triage module already gives 100% ECM resistance now so the sensor booster is a second wasted mid slot. Both the large cap battery and sensor booster should be swapped out for something more useful such as a Capital Capacitor Battery and perhaps an Extra Booster or Cap Recharger.

Here is said cat picture. I hope it doesn't fail my application single handedly.
  12. Rythen Risalo

Hmm. After playing around with this fit in Pyfa I think I see what you are getting at. The large cap battery, as opposed to a capital cap battery, has very very little impact on the capacitor overall and it seems like a pretty wasted slot that was stuck in because of limited PG and CPU. The fit would need to be reworked so that a capital battery could be put in. And you were right in your assumption, this is the standard 'disposable' buffer fit FAX fit that NC currently uses.

    Calfs.

For my main I'll definitely take this advice. I had begun training links because I wasn't sure what to train next but instead I will focus on the skills you recommended. I may or may not have mentioned in my application that I've only owned my titan for a couple months now so I'm more than willing to accept any advice from an experienced owner. I'll send you guys my APIs soon.

Cap boosters are fairly self-explanatory they are used to replenish cap while repping. The sensor booster has multiple uses, can be scripted for scan res or ECCM depending on if the enemy fleet has ECM on field this would help me to avoid being jammed or to lock faster if scan resolution is loaded. Cap battery helps to give some resistance to neut pressure.
