    I agree with you wholeheartedly. Glory days of my galmil experience was the same "lock, shoot" mentality, but doesn't give you an excuse when you lemming into an enemy fleet.

    I like to think I know how to function properly. To rephrase, its not so much I want to "learn how you guys operate" but more so that I want to "experience how you guys operate". That's not to say there isn't some things that I could be made aware of or to learn how specific scenario's should be played out, in which case, I risk getting hazed out :rottentomato:

    Wasa would say I'm a good pilot that's open to learning from mistakes and criticism, friendly and always looking for fights to join. Wasa is also lowkey racist and says I belong in a sweatshop :BibleThump:
    Storm would say a bunch of stuff in caps while holding down the shift key, I'm not actually sure what he'd say. He's stopped playing for the last few months, interested to know what he'd say too tbh. On a serious note, he'd say roughly the same thing as Wasa.

     

    I've been part of large scale fights before, that's not new to me. I know about TIDI better than most and keeping it bluntly, I don't think larger scale PVP is harder than small gang skirmishes, learning to be good at large scale is basically to have common sense (which a lot of pilots in eve seem to not have). That separates the good pilots from the ones that go "Oops, I accidentally aggressed"

    If i jump into system and see a Super in a large, ping any super FC's to check if we have anything nearby that can come kill it. If there is anything nearby and we get the greenlight to act, get 2-3 people in HIC's (Preferably OOC alts) and get eyes on him. Next is to quickly do research, because a super at a large is either one of two things bait or a trap. Doing some quick research allows proper planning for the different potential scenario's, also always good to have a prober in case it tries to warp to a safe.

    NPSI fleet it was a lock broadcast, shoot thing for the most part. Unfortunately, those caps that jumped in were dead with or without my 3 Arbalest Compact Light Missile Launchers firing at them. I'm in the application process, not the trial process.

    3.) Do you have anyone to vouch for you in glorious Adversity. space guild ? 

     

    I do not have a vouch. Being in Exodus means not having any blues, as such, it's particularly hard to meet new people or get into a non-exodus fleet. There was a brief time period when we flew with Adversity (Back when TISHU and SMA were around), fought on the same grid against SMA a few times. Pretty much killed SMA.


    4.) Tell us about your eve history. With details. Pictures are optional.

     

    Started EVE with a bunch of IRL friends and created our own corp to try PvP. We were pretty serious about it too (created our own website and everything). This was back in June 2014, and back then many embarrassing losses were had. We joined BohicaEmpire back when they were a decent group but didn't participate much due to the lack of SP and inability to fly doctrine fits. Thinking about it, their recruiting standards were absolute garbage... because we were absolute garbage. At the time, we staged out of the same system as RDRAW (Back when they were an individual entity and not pet's) so joined them for mostly small gang skirmishes. Every now and then joining up for big fleet fights. After a few months of running our own corp, we decided that we wanted to focus on PvP without having to worry about corp members, logistics and the responsibilities that come from owning a corporation and left our corp to join Rapid Withdrawal (Back when they were an individual entity and not pets). I stayed with RDRAW for a few months, learning most of the basics of pvp with them, then leaving to join Blackfox Marauders, part of Spaceship BEBOP. This didn't really change who I flew with since both RDRAW and BEBOP were in gallente militia, it merely changed the location I staged out of. 
     

    After spending 2 months in BEBOP,  I decided that I was better off suited in RDRAW, mainly because I still primarily flew with them and thought that BEBOP was too advanced for me, skill points wise. For the next 8 months, it was complete chaos, throwing catalyst after catalyst into caldari fleets. After welping hundreds of ships into the enemy, I decided to try a different form of PvP. I found what I was looking for in Sudden Death, with Wasa. I flew with them for a month as a trial period, mostly piloting an Interceptor. There I learned about the complex mechanics of EvE, manual piloting, transversal management and grid awareness amongst many other things. I fell in love with this style of PvP, being able to fight outnumbered and pick things off, being extremely mobile and farming Black Rise for salt was extremely satisfying. Participated in AT practices, which really honed important communication and piloting skills because in practices, it was just intense practice matches one after the other. That's practically all I've done with Mao.

     

    I've also dabbled in other things in EVE, joining WH corps (ABA) with my Pizza Meow to try out what it's like living in WH's, then moving to null sec out in drone lands to see what it would be like living in null. 

     

    5.) What is your current corp/alliance, and why are you leaving it?

     

    - They don't have people playing 24/7 in alliance. Most of the time, no one will be online for most of the day unless a fleet is planned for roaming. 

    - I've been doing skirmishes in small gang and living in low sec practically all of my EVE career and I really want to do something else.

    - because we didn't make it into the top 4 this year's AT :BibleThump:

     

    6.) Why do you want to join Adversity.? 
     

    I've been on grid with Adversity before, and they don't seem like typical null f1 monkeys *cough* goons *cough*. I like being surrounded by people better than me in a specific field, that's what I did when I first started EVE with Mantis, then with Exodus and now with Adversity. I want to learn more about capital warfare and all the intricacies that come with living in Null and being a part of PL.  "To be the best, learn from the best" - Darren Lacroix


    7.) If you join, you are not allowed to be poor like Jousake. Can you afford our doctrines? How do you make your ISK?
    - What if we tell you that just for jokes you are going to buy 5b(insert relevant large sum of ISK) in doctrines above the aleady considerable alliance stock ?

     

    I used to market trade and stock up low sec trade hubs, that was providing very decent isk. I did reactions for a time as well. I like making isk through different ways, to keep it fun. I have a phase where I would run HS incursions from time to time, partly for the company and partly to stock up LP. I have LP buyback programs set up with a few people who sell me their LP on a weekly basis.

    I also loot bling from the wrecks of my enemies, very underrated.

    9.) Can you fly a FAX and T2 triage ON A ALT ? Do you have a dread ALT ?

     

    30 Days away from the T2 Triage Module on Meow. Can inject into it if asked to. At the moment, I do not have a dread ALT, but am considering buying one if i see a good deal on the forums.


    10.) Have you FC'd before? If yes, what kind of fleets?

     

    Only small gang stuff in Gallente Militia, not much experience in this field.

     

    11.) What area of Eve are you lacking ? What are you trying to do to improve that ?

     

    Capital Warfare. Never done it, very interested in doing it. Trying to improve by joining one of the best at it

     

    12.) We are doing a small gang nano roam, what ship would you bring? (your FOTM ship?) Explain why.

     

    Right now, with the current patch? 50mn Loki with Arties.

    range of 23+32 with EMP. Web range of 33.8km without links and 464 dps. If anything gets on top of the ship. A) Bad piloting but B) Overheated 2 small neuts should be able to save you in time. This fit's my FoTM because of its ability to control the grid.

     

    13.) You are a young, starry-eyed pilot in Adversity. Coming home victorious from an epic battle against the turk forces, you dock your vessel and and the fleet stands down. Do you a.) repair/refuel/rearm your ship so it's ready to go next time, b.) post 'le dank memes' on reddit about the fight you just had, or 3.) immediately log off and play ARMA III until the next ping?

     

    I'd repair ships but i tend to forget about fuel/ammo. Then try to find something else to do, be it making isk or roaming small gang. If nothing is happening and everyone's afk for some reason? I'll be playing PUBG, Arma's good and all but I'm riding out the PUBG Hype for now.

     

    14.) There is a nearly unbearable person in corp (we will call him Mack) that has his glimpses of genius. You jump through a gate with your multiple billion Cynabal that is a really bad gimmick. Awaiting you are a Ashimmu, Keres and 5 Svipuls. Mack is the only person that can save you. Do you squeal for his help and bear the shame of having to listen to him rescuing you for months or do you take it like a man and get laughed at by the rest of the corp because you flew a true shitfit and died quietly?

     

    I ask for help. Mack might be unbearable, but he's still in corp and a corp mate. Do for others what you'd like others to do for you. If he continues to mention rescuing me, I bear the shame because I took out a shitfit and deserve to be shamed. 

     

    15.) You are a stupid euro and ended up on a late move op with your alliance, in an Aeon, with only 2 other supers, 2 titans, and a small number of Archons with you. You jump the first gate and several dics appear bubbling you, soon a cyno goes up and lots of nasty looking Machariels and dreads come pouring through. You switch to your anti-tackle tab and notice there are only like 4 dics and 2 HICs on grid, but FC is screaming for supers not to aggress while the support fleet eats shit to the hostile Machariels, and hostile dreads pound through archon after Archon. The dumb euro FC then tells HIC-pointed caps to jump back through the gate. What do you do?

     

    Bring to attention that enemy fleet is VERY light on tackle at that moment. Aware that more could pour through. However, I listen to FC, if even after being aware that they have very little tackle he wants us to jump through, I jump through. Better to split up the enemy fleet than risk taking on whatever could come through the cyno.

    This was an entertaining one. I basically had a regen nereus fit with tackle modules sitting outside a plex, waiting for something to bite the bait. Dominix lands on top of me, I tackle it, Domi being no prop is unable to pull range from me, small neuts means friends grab tackle before he neuts me out. Pinging for dps, only one tristan and one svipul shows up after a while. A caldari militia fleet passing by notices the commotion and a few people warp over, whore and leave. All of a sudden, Nyx lands on grid, blaps the domi and leaves. Very confusing, Very entertaining. I was less than a year old in EVE at this point in time and never seen a nyx. If that ever happened again, a Nyx kill would have been had.

    First time catching a carrier. Roaming around low sec in a ceptor, scouting my fleet one jump ahead. Notice a megathron on a gate. Warp to gate, jump through with it, I hear Archon is coming to me so i hold aggression, letting mega go, Archon decloaks and I ninja point it, warp off to get rid of aggro, warp back down to re-establish point. Holding it for fleet 1-2 jumps away, praying no response fleet shows up to blap me off grid. Not flashy, just a first time thing for me and benchmarks the first time I tackled a carrier. Relevant video.

    First off, RIP Knerf. Secondly, If you've flown a ceptor, you know one of the hardest thing to do is hold point on an Orthrus. saw a red Orthrus jump through into Oicx, I jump with him, pinging for dps to come and for secondary tackle to come as well. Orthrus decloaks and starts to pull range, i dive in to get scram, only managing to do so about 40km off the gate. I get put into armor REAL fast and start to panic. Only 2 others on grid with me, its a stork and Maxine in his damned smart bombing prot. Not very useful I thought. I call that I might have to let him go, next thing I hear, Maxine goes "ORTHRUS JAMMED". I sigh, ram the orthrus, I'm in structure at this point, ancil rep barely keeping me up. secondary point established, he get's unjammed and I warp off before he can finish me off. Come back down for scram one more time, we've only got 2 frigates and are cycling scrams on him. I start to pull range, friendly vigilant jumping through. I get about 120 off him, vigi warps to me at 100, lands 10km off orthrus. Webs land, kill secured.

     

    17.) Link a fleet doctrine that you have used or would want to use and explain why its a good one. Don't just pull one of our losses and claim it's a doctrine you used.

     

    Used this a few days ago, took it out against fraternity and brave. Very standard mach 1400mm fit but when piloted well AKA matching trans, applies amazing damage. Ideally 2 Huginns, 1 Lach, 2 Drake Navy's (#CanBringMyDrake), 1 Scimi , 2 ceptors, 2 Orthrus's and 6 Mach's. Warp DPS range, align out, blap blap blap.

    20 or so canes, 5 scimi's could not take us on. Fun to fly, extremely satisfying when you take a lach from full shields to dead in a matter of seconds. Not being armor means amazing speed for a battleship and a lot more dps than the usual machs.
