    My History - Sorry this took so long I lost my laptop charger and lex fucking refuses to bring his own chair and peripherals, even though I set up his computer for him. This is the short version. I lost my original 6 google doc page version, but I still think this summarizes my time in eve nicley. 

     

    My History

    I started off on a toon that I think no longer exists as it never made it to a full account. The Character was Cale500, ultimately replaced by Cale5000 and Captin Wolf (my 2 original characters). The first real corp I joined was a high-sec carebear group by the name of Sell Sword lead by DeathWish Drang. Drang was a good and patient man that taught me(a 12-year-old)  the ins and outs of eve.  Nothing really ever happened during this period of learning except for me thinking I knew enough a couple times and leaving to go make my own corp. It always inevitably failed and I would up back in one of Drang's corps. It was my time with Drang that led me to meet Brother Agdon (ExpNinja) and MBmerhant., these two will be important later on.  Eventually, Ninja and I decided we wanted to move on to a low/null sec corp and explore the combat side of the game. We ended up in a corp called Paradox Collective while it was still in the original Black Legion Alliance living in some lowsec that I do not remember on the edge of null. Paradox would often roam into null with arty canes (the meta at the time) and it was here where I learned how to kite, and FC small gang pvp. Paradox was one of the best learning experiences I have had in this game. It was also around this time that I bought Gumshoe Nosfera (the first toon I have ever purchased) as a hulk pilot as a way to make passive money on the side during fleets. I did eventually train him into a full blown combat pilot. I think I left paradox for another null sec corp that lived in nullsec so that I could rat and pvp, but it did not last long as highschool hit around this time and I had personal reasons to step away from the game. When I came back I had decided that losing ships wasn’t cool anymore (I dunno what the fuck, emotional teenager or something) and joined a high-sec mining corp with a good friend of mine, Goddrick (another important character for later on). Goddrick was a industrial mastermind, he had no love for the pvp side of the game but god damn could that guy build ships and run a metric fuck ton of POSes. We would sit and mine in highsec for hours at a time listening to Rob Zombie, Volbeat, and other bands alike. Eventually I decided to set up a pos in the nearby lowsec (Genesis) in order to have a safe haven to get the rare 0.4 mins. A few hours after onlineing the structure, our plan was quickly foiled by the residents, Bondage Goat Zombie. Easily Excited lived in the region at this time but they were not nearly as big as they were about to be. Our little mining corp one day decided to do a pvp roam into genesis, and it was there that we ran into EE. Goats had a fleet out at the time and were burning back to try and get in on the action, so EE offered to merge fleets with us to fight them and we agreed. I quickly grew a relationship with them and our corp ended up merging into their alliance within days. After acclimation, meeting many key players, and getting used to the area, I quickly rose as the group's main FC. Shortly thereafter Goats and EE formed a relationship that seemed inseparable. I left the corp that I was in and formed my own to gain more power in the alliance because the Alliance Leader, Talon Draygo never liked me. But for some reason his second, Muffy ROX did. Once I left and made my corp, I had some much influence that we had grown our numbers to 70+ in 2 days simply from Alliance members leaving to join. I pushed for everyone in my corp to get dreads and we recruited like mad. Soon enough, between Goats and EE, our dread numbers were through the roof. For a lowsec alliance sitting in the dead region of genesis, 50-60 dreads on an average day is insane. That is until VOID, the main corp in Goats decided that they did not like the current moon situation and wanted to fight EE for territory using Shadow Cartel as a batphone. Ironically, it was also around this time that Pell Helix and SYJ had moved out of WH space into the nearby region of Khanid. When Goats betrayed us, we reached out to SYJ for help and managed to fend off Goats and Shadow’s advances. In return, we helped SYJ conquer Khanid from Dead Terrorists, leading to my first super kills.  This takes us to EE’s first deployment and a major shift of power within the Alliance. Let’s set the stage: CCP just announced that 0.4 moons will now be available for pos mining. Our group sprung into action and headed by another FC we picked up along the way, Synsational, we started probing all uncharted moons in our region and surrounding regions. Realizing that there was 200B+/month in moons in genesis and Aridia (all within Jump range at the time) we deployed to a midpoint to make logistics easier. Another group (about the same size sub cap wise) saw the opportunity and also deployed to Aridia. Under the guise of “good fights” I deployed the alliance to Aridia. It was the most successful deployment in terms of strategic success and fight potential. We wound up winning the war and picking up the majority of what remained of our foes. It was also successful in that I had managed to get the Alliance to move off of the gate camps, something that Talon never thought would happen. Talon quickly burnt out as a 17 year old kid and a woman in her mid 30s was having more success leading his Alliance than he ever had. He handed the alliance over to Muffy as we were moving back to Genesis. Things got quiet for a while and we made a shit ton of money from the moons during the deployment. Goddrick and ExpNinja both came in handy managing our massive POS network across two large regions. Muffy eventually bought me an Erebus for my 18th birthday and we had a blast dropping on everything that moved in our region.  During this time our numbers exploded, and long behold Cruisers Crew joined the alliance. Around the time this happened, Muffy and I had a “falling out” and the alliance split in two. My loyalists, and hers. My group joined a unified corporation and went under SYJ’s banner. We deployed to our old Aridia perch to prepare for war against EE. Then Fatigay was announced. This crippled our plans. Not to mention the constant threat of TISHU and OE looming over us. My closest group of friends and I then all applied to Adversity and had the time of our lives. Made the best friends I have ever made in a game and rose to leadership (sigh). After all the trails and stipulations AVRSE went through, TISHU was at it’s height and we dominated as a rising power. I wanted to bring my old friends from EE into the alliance and saw an opportunity in TISEC, a small prospective corp headed by Jousake. I let my ego get ahold of me and joined TISEC after almost two years in AVRSE, eventually leading to me “quiting” the game when I couldn’t get what I wanted and TISEC merging into Adversity. When it comes to Que’lar and the Frost army, Que was only a rebrand from Gumshoe. I never liked the name Gumshoe and wanted to make my own character after skill injectors became a thing. The Frost’s were originally just an attempt to get back into the game so that I could play with a limited group of friends with the time I had (which was not much).

    I cannot think of any off the top of my head, no. The primary reason I would have butt heads with anyone would have been because of fundamental disagreements in leadership. As I stated in my application, one of my fatal flaws is that I try too hard to please my friends at the expense of others. This led to my mismanagement of alliance money when attempting to replace or grow our super numbers, while Lich and Keonig are indeed wallet Nazis. There is nothing wrong with conserving alliance coffers, but my philosophy is that of a much more liberal usage.

    Thank you for your consideration and time reading into my application, Koenig. I hope you understand that I want to take my time with this response. I know that we have not had the best relationship throughout the years that I was in AVRSE, I do hope, however, that we can try and do that over. Looking back in hindsight, you do seem like the more reasonable and level headed person to me, so I will be as open and understanding in my response as possible. 

     

    As for the Count Scary controversy, I can answer that right now. While I do consider Count Scary a friend, I do now understand that the culture in Adversity is not one that he would be an appropriate member of. As I stated in my application, I never want a position of power in this game again, and thus I will lack the ability and power to attempt to bring Scary into the organization, no longer would I want to, or do I think it is a good idea in general. 

     

    And also as to "Why now and why should you let me in". Well, I honestly don't see any reason you should. I have indeed caused you headaches in the past and I cannot recall any times where you and I specifically bonded, this much is true. However, The friendships that I have made in Adversity are valuable to me and I look forward to getting to know those (like yourself) whom I have not yet bonded with. Why now? Well, if you are probing to see whether or not I want to join now that you guys have made it into PL, I can assure you that this is not the case. You can ask anyone who I have flown and bonded with and they will tell you that I value friendships above labels and alliances. If Adversity was flying in any other alliance or solo for that matter, I would have inquired about returning at this stage regardless. There is no specific reason as to why this very moment in time I chose to come home. 

     

    My other responses will be very, very lengthy and will take me a couple hours to write over this weekend, thank you.

    I have come to accept Lich as the almighty Baguette and an all around good dude. I have no problem admitting that I did mismanage corporate money, as long as it is understood that I never wanted to benefit myself.

    However we got some dank krabbing space if you are into that sort of thing.

    That's totally fine. My primary reason for re-applying is so I can hang out with old bros again. I can be fluid.

    My reasoning for putting that in the app was in fact because of my history of burning out. Let's be real for a moment though, the reason I was notorious for being "bad" with our money was because I tried too hard to get corpies into super/titans and made empty promises on replacing supers/titans. I was always broke, and never even dreamed of benefiting myself.

    3.) Do you have anyone to vouch for you in glorious Adversity. space guild? 
    I know a lot of people in Adversity, and most will know me. Some will know me as the guy who leaked out when Lich took over. That is true, however, I do now have the time to play full time with my old bros again. Never put me in a position of power, and I will never ask for one. As for a specific vouch, I am sure that Lex can speak for me. He is my best bro and roommate. 


    4.) Tell us about your eve history. With details. Pictures are optional.
             Most of my history is within AVRSE. I started off playing this game literally as a child way back in 2007 (or so). I worked my way up, some shit with potatoes happened, then I met Are, lex, daemon, and the rest of AVRSE. We meme’d our way to victory until I burnt out and got a real life a couple months back. I have found a balance between the life that I have formed and my online spaceships, and I am ready to come back.


    5.) What is your current corp/alliance, and why are you leaving it?
            Currently, I am in Lazerhawks trying out wormhole space. It was fun and incredibly profitable for a while, but realizing that I have to scan my stargates everyday just to find someone to fight, only to realize that no one wants to fight lazerhawks anyway really gets old. Not to mention I bought myself a nyx (because I missed big ships) to drop on dronelands ratting carriers. Once I got into the ship, I remembered how much fun they are and just how much I wanted to use them again. 
     
    6.) Why do you want to join Adversity.? 
    I miss my bros. 
    I want to get good fights and provide frags.


    7.) If you join, you are not allowed to be poor like Jousake. Can you afford our doctrines? How do you make your ISK?
    Currently, I share a farm in lazerhawks that yields a lot of money. I have injected all of my toons with that money. I’ll be honest, with the amount of time that I have to play the game, I won’t be able to dedicate it to isk making. I will, however, plex when needed. 


    - What if we tell you that just for jokes you are going to buy 5b(insert relevant large sum of ISK) in doctrines above the already considerable alliance stock ?
    That would be no issue. 
     
    8.) What sort of capital assets do you possess?
    Nyx, multiple nags, archons, thanatoses, (JF soontm), etc
     
    9.) Can you fly a FAX and T2 triage ON An ALT? Do you have a dread ALT?
    I can box multiple dreads and field a triage. 
     
    10.) Have you FC'd before? If yes, what kind of fleets?
    Yes, mostly Adversity fleets. (keonig you know how bad I am). Recently I have been doing a lot of Hunting and can lead a good hunting group. 
     
    11.) What area of Eve are you lacking? What are you trying to do to improve that?
    I try too hard to please my friends, usually at the expense of other friends. This is an issue I have in real life too. 
    I would like to get better at Fleet command and strategy as well. 
     
    12.) We are doing a small gang nano roam, what ship would you bring? (your FOTM ship?) Explain why.
    Orthrus, sleipnir (with links), lach. Depends on what the other duders have. 
    If we lack tackle, an Orthrus or Lach would be the optimal choice. On the other hand, bringing a sleip with links would bring good DPS as well as skirmish links to help the whole fleet. 
     
    13.) You are a young, starry-eyed pilot in Adversity. Coming home victorious from an epic battle against the turk forces, you dock your vessel and the fleet stands down. Do you a.) repair/refuel/rearm your ship so it's ready to go next time, b.) post 'le dank memes' on reddit about the fight you just had, or 3.) immediately log off and play ARMA III until the next ping?

    14.) There is a nearly unbearable person in corp (we will call him Mack) that has his glimpses of genius. You jump through a gate with your multiple billion Cynabal that is a really bad gimmick. Awaiting you are an Ashimmu, Keres and 5 Svipuls. Mack is the only person that can save you. Do you sqeal for his help and bear the shame of having to listen to him rescueing you for months or do you take it like a man and get laughed at by the rest of the corp because you flew a true shitfit and died quietly?
    Mack is a good man, bless him. Ask for help and send him the isk from selling the Cyna he saved as thanks. 
     
    15.) You are a stupid euro and ended up on a late move op with your alliance, in an Aeon, with only 2 other supers, 2 titans, and a small number of Archons with you. You jump the first gate and several dics appear bubbling you, soon a cyno goes up and lots of nasty looking Machariels and dreads come pouring through. You switch to your anti-tackle tab and notice there are only like 4 dics and 2 HICs on grid, but FC is screaming for supers not to aggress while the support fleet eats shit to the hostile Machariels, and hostile dreads pound through archon after Archon. The dumb euro FC then tells HIC-pointed caps to simply jump back through the gate, clearly showing his lack of knowledge about game mechanics. What do you do?
    Take command of the fleet with confidence, calling for the fleet to keep approaching the gate. Because my fleet is not aggressed, I would have them all fit a cloak (only if there is no safe POS and they are not fit already). Once refit, I would call the two HICs primary (excluding the titans, whom I assume will be primary) When all HICS are dead, and the titans are not HIC pointed, they would then jump through the gate and attempt to warp off as the rest of the fleet de-aggros. The fleet would then jump and align off either to a friendly POS or a far off celestial. if everyone gets aligned before the DICS make it through (I doubt it) then we would warp off to pos/make safes cloak. If bubbles go up, activate smart bombs and commence fragging of the dics. I feel like this is the best way to minimize isk and super losses.

    17.) Link a fleet doctrine that you have used or would want to use and explain why it's a good one. Don't just pull one of our losses and claim it's a doctrine you used.
    I have seriously come to love the Lazerhawks Damnation doctrine. Although I know it probably won’t work in K-space because of the range of HAMS and other issues. But I still think it is a great brawling doctrine that can handle fleets much larger in numbers.
